Community-Based Education
An
Invitation
On
behalf of the Lebanon School District and the Lebanon Valley Chamber
of Commerce, we would like to offer to you, as a Lebanon Valley
business partner, several unique ways we can work together to get
our students involved in the process of training to retain the future
workforce of Lebanon Valley.
The
Mission
By
schools and communities working together, we can provide students
with the opportunity to explore various career pathways as they
develop workplace and academic skills required to become the future
workforce of Lebanon Valley.
Expanded
Opportunity
Please
note that the Shadowing a Student opportunity listed in
the brochure has been expanded to include adults seeking opportunities
to serve as mentors in grades 1 through 12.
Perhaps
your business would consider release times for your employees to
join us in this rewarding networking opportunity meeting anywhere
from 20 to 60 minutes per week with student on campus. Students
who are receiving mentors have a variety of needs. Any child or
teen can benefit from a productive relationship with a caring adult.
The
Network
Remember
it takes all of us participating in some capacity to create the
future employment network Lebanon Valley will need. Please contact
Cal Gates by phone or by email to assist you with this important
mission.
Please
take time to read the
brochure which lists several ways your organization and its
employees can partner with our schools to develop Lebanon Valley’s
future workforce.
